Today we went to Mt. Baker, as Bud has lived here for over 40 years and had never been up there. I was there once many years ago. The Customs Officer asked why we were going there today, and we asked "why not?" We went right to the top, which one of the plaques said was some 10,000 ft. This was past the ski lift.We walked in a bit of snow, had a picnic lunch, got sunburned, and left. What a nice day.

oh how fun!!! i don't think i've ever been...hopefully i won't wait 40 yrs to go. did you guys take pictures? we're off to oregon tomorrow for a camping trip- will talk to you when we get back.
