The McAndrew's

In June we planned a big trip to Saskatchewan, taking in Penticton, to cycle a bit of the Kettle Valley Railroad bike trail, and carry on to Golden to visit Bud's sister there, then go to Banff and Drumheller. Well we got toAllison Pass on our first attempt and the motorhome wouldn't take the hills, so we came home. A thousand dollars later we left again, on this great trip....this time, getting to Penticton and cycling for one day before it rained. We decided not to waste time waiting for the rain to stop, so left for Golden....getting all the way to Vernon, where the Alternator died. We got it rebuilt and came home. Needless to say, we had sort of lost our nerve by now, and didn't try a third time.

We have been busy here lately, painting our second bedroom and turning it into a den. It was just too crowded with twin beds. We are looking forward to delivery of the sofabed early August.

We have done a lot of cycling this summer, and saw a cute little bear on one of our rides on the dyke. Mamma bear was close by because we could hear her calling baby bear! One day we packed a picnic lunch, and rode from McDonald Park through Heron Park in Sardis, where we had a nice picnic before heading back. This was about 37 km. so we had a good workout that day. Hopefully we will do it again very soon.
