We took our friend Art over to Eleni's Restaurant in Mission for his birthday. Bud and I bought a cake and took it over the night before, and the girls put the candles on it and brought it out after our lunch, and sang to him. The 5 of us that cycle together were all there to celebrate with him, and he seemed pleased.

On Thursday, Aug. 10 Bud and I went in to Surrey to the kids for our belated 38th anniversary supper. We had a nice dinner, played games with the kids, and picked a pail of gorgeous blackberries. Needless to say we are enjoying them with ice cream!

Five of us went cycling on the dyke. Took a picnic lunch and ate at McDonald Park. We do love our bikes. We haven't seen the bear out there lately, but the other day when we rode we heard mamma bear in the bushes. It appears we are sharing the blackberries along the trail with them! Great fun!
